Yes the answer is the potato and this is not something new this diet goes back to the year 1850s era and where people had no food this was used as a survival tool and a bit of research on potato shows its the most filling food and has a hell lot of freaken benefits.I believe every one should give it a try cause people who try are the most successful people as they never give up a little motivation boost & the risk to reward is great what will you lose like few pounds of weight that is it win-win condition hell ya!
This diet is really simple just have potatoes I mean only potatoes little salt and spice is allowed but no oil/butter/Sauce PERIOD.This diet got my attention due to the fact the it improves your gut health and as you know intestine is your 2nd brain where all the nutrients are absorbed its like who may have the most healthiest/organic/expensive food but if your gut does not absorb(breakdown the nutrients and sends to the blood stream) it then all is waste and people who don’t know we have good gut bacteria which helps us to breakdown food and to absorb nutrients so you need to keep them in optimal level and this diet serves the purpose cause it contains RS(Resistant starch) after this diet my gut felt awesome and could digest my food easily and trust me no breaking wind and best of all no inflammation in the gut this my be a secret of losing fat 😉 as DR.barry sears says if you have food and don’t feel hungry for 5 hours you ate the right food.ultimately this diet would work for you or not work for you but just try 🙂
The Potato Diet Simple Rules
The potato hack is a short-term 3 to 5 day diet where you eat nothing but potatoes. You can expect to lose around 1/2 to 1 pound of fat per DAY over 3 to 5 days. Repeat this 3 to 5 day hack each week until you reach your target weight.
It’s not uncommon to drop 10-15 pounds of body fat in one month following this protocol.
We are talking body fat loss, not just glycogen and water (like many other diets).
- Plan on eating just potatoes for 3-5 days.
- Eat 2-5 pounds of potatoes each day.
- No other foods allowed (this includes butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits).
- Salt is allowed, but not encouraged.
- Drink when thirsty: coffee, tea, and water only.
- Heavy exercise is discouraged; light exercise and walking are encouraged.
